As Construction Manager International & Travel, you will help bring our ambitious international growth plans to life. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful and efficient delivery of store construction and fit-out projects across retail and travel retail environments. You will be part of our Format & Design team based in Amsterdam and report directly to the Head of Construction Northern Europe. While your main focus will be on Northern Europe, your scope is flexible and may also include projects in other international markets and travel retail locations. This makes the role varied, hands-on, and closely connected to our wider Construction department.
You will work with internal colleagues and external partners to make sure every project is delivered with care, quality, and consistency. From site surveys to handover, your work will support the creation of spaces that reflect who we are. If you enjoy combining structure, collaboration, and international project delivery, this role offers plenty of room to make a meaningful impact.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of new store openings, including preparing site survey reports and assessing the technical and commercial suitability of potential locations.
- Conduct site surveys for new stores in international markets and airport locations.
- Manage construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to rituals standards.
- Coordinate and oversee all construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource management.
- Manage external consultants, contractors, and suppliers, while collaborating closely with architects, landlords, franchise partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure a smooth store handover to retail operations and maintain compliance with local building regulations, health & safety requirements, and company standards.

At the same time, you communicate clearly, build trusted relationships, and stay grounded under pressure. If you bring an international mindset and enjoy working in a collaborative team, you will feel at home here.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management or construction management role, preferably within a fast-paced retail environment.
- Have a strong understanding of the complete project lifecycle, from site acquisition and contractor selection through construction, handover, and store opening.
- Communicate fluently in english, both verbal and written, and ideally speak another language.
- Are willing and able to travel internationally on a regular basis, sometimes at short notice.
