Work at Rituals and experience “the art of gifting”

At Rituals, we believe in the power of gifting and creating meaningful moments—especially during the upcoming festive season. Discover in this article how our shop colleagues master the "art of gifting" and how they create unforgettable experiences during the holiday season.

Rituals colleagues

As a wellbeing brand renowned for its luxurious gifts, we aim to make daily gift occasions memorable for our customers and colleagues.

We believe that Rituals employees possess a unique talent: the art of gifting. This talent shines brightly during the most festive and magical time of the year—Christmas. Whether it's a thoughtful present, an act of kindness, or a personal moment shared, our shop colleagues excel in making each gesture count. This is the essence of our Rituals culture—working with heart and soul daily, creating meaningful connections, and celebrating the small joys that make life beautiful.

Nora Maliqi, Assistant Shop Manager, Switzerland
"Giving gifts is important because it strengthens bonds, expresses gratitude, and creates lasting memories. It's an act that generates joy and allows us to celebrate important moments, showing others that they are appreciated and valued. "

Bringing the art of gifting to life at Rituals

During the holiday season, our shops are bustling, and our colleagues help customers find the perfect gift for their loved ones. To enrich the work experience and uplift spirits during this busy time of the year, our colleagues also go the extra mile for each other.

We talked to our colleagues Nora Maliqi (Assistant Shop Manager in Switzerland), Zoe Rochford (Sales Advisor in the UK), and Aurélie Le Moual (Shop Manager in France) to share a few examples of the art of gifting with you:

  • Cosy Back Office: The shop teams decorate their back offices with festive decorations; colleagues bring homemade cookies, play their favourite Christmas music, and create a cosy and joyful atmosphere to take a break from the busy shop floor.
  • Secret Santa: some teams organise the beloved Secret Santa game, where colleagues gift each other a personal and fun present, fostering a sense of surprise and delight.
  • Christmas Stockings: some shop managers place Christmas stockings for each colleague in the back office. Throughout the month, these stockings are filled with little gifts, personalised notes, and words of kindness.
  • Advent Calendar: we hear from many of our teams that they use an Advent calendar to celebrate individual successes, with each day marking a special achievement or moment of gratitude.
  • Christmas Elves in some countries: For example, in Switzerland, our colleagues send two puppet elves, Pipo and Saperlipopette, on a tour around different shops. These elves share their adventures through photos and letters with everyone, bringing riddles, jokes, and heartwarming stories from each shop they visit.
  • End-of-Year celebratory dinner: Some of our shops end the season with a shared end-of-year meal, a moment to reflect and celebrate together.
