Sr. Visual Merchandise Training Specialist

Join our Format & Design team to shape award-winning store experiences worldwide and drive consistent customer journeys, while we globally expand.

Share your talents

As Sr. Specialist VM Training, you help bring our Visual Merchandising vision to life across our stores in Retail & Outlets and shops in Wholesale & Travel formats worldwide. In this role, you translate Visual Merchandising standards, brand principles, and strategies into clear and practical training materials that support consistent execution. You play an important part in helping teams understand not only what good Visual Merchandising looks like, but also why it matters for customer experience, brand presentation, and commercial results.

Working within the VM Training team in Format & Design, you support the rollout of training initiatives across different markets and lines of business. You collaborate closely with colleagues across Visual Merchandising, Retail, Outlets, Wholesale & Travel, Design & Development and Project Management to keep content aligned and relevant. With your expertise, you help store and shop teams apply VM standards with confidence and care. You also strengthen the learning journey by creating onboarding programs for different lines of business and developing Train the Trainer toolkits for the Visual Merchandising Field team.

With an expertise in digital tools and technology, you invent ways of working that support effective training development and delivery. Based in our Central Head Office in Amsterdam, you contribute to meaningful retail experiences that feel unmistakably Rituals.

In this role, you will:

  • Create VM Training roadmaps per line of business and support the yearly planning and budget.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Visual Merchandising training programs, onboarding programs, and materials with internal & external partners.
  • Translate Visual Merchandising strategy, guidelines, and brand principles into clear training content, Train the Trainer toolkits, and supporting documentation.
  • Use AI tools to speed up and scale the creation of training content (e.g. drafting scripts, generating visuals or video, building interactive e-learning modules), keeping quality and brand consistency high while reducing production time.
  • Train, coach, and support Area Managers, Account Managers, store teams, Visual Merchandising Field teams, and other stakeholders in applying VM standards consistently.
  • Coordinate the planning, organization, and rollout of VM training initiatives across markets and store formats.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of VM execution, evaluate training effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Bring all of you

Bring all of you

For this role, we are looking for someone who combines strong Visual Merchandising knowledge with a passion for learning and development. You know how to turn strategy into practical tools that help others grow and perform with confidence, whether through onboarding, training, courses/modules including short video bites or animations and one-pagers. You are organized, proactive, and comfortable coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders in an international retail environment. At the same time, you bring a creative mindset and a sharp eye for detail, always keeping the end user in mind and the customer experience and brand presentation in balance. You're comfortable using AI and digital tools as part of your daily craft, from drafting content to building interactive training materials, and you're always looking for smarter, faster ways to bring training to life. If you enjoy working collaboratively and taking ownership of high-quality training solutions, you may feel at home with us.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Bring 5-10 years of relevant experience in Visual Merchandising, retail training, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Have experience in developing and delivering training programs, onboarding journeys, materials, guidelines, and toolkits.
  • Have strong knowledge of Visual Merchandising principles, retail presentation, customer experience, and commercial drivers.
  • Are skilled in training, coaching, facilitation, presentation, stakeholder management, project coordination, and using digital tools to support learning solutions.
  • Practical experience using AI tools for content creation (e.g. e-learning authoring, video/visual generation, copywriting), able to independently build and iterate training materials with AI support, not just curious about it.
  • Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Fashion, Education, Learning & Development, Business, or a related field.
