Internship Supply Chain S&OE | Category Planning
With Supply Chain you are at the core of our operations. Simplicity and innovation come together to shape the future of our brand through smart solutions.
Share your talents
Are you an internationally minded student who enjoys turning data into business decisions? Would you like to discover how products move through a fast-paced, omnichannel organisation and how planning decisions directly influence product availability?
As a Category Planning Intern, you will join our Supply Chain Category Planning team at our Central Head Office in Amsterdam. You will work alongside experienced Category Planners and contribute to real supply chain challenges across Retail, E-commerce, Wholesale, Travel, Master Franchise and B2B.
Your initial focus will be product allocation, helping to get the right products to the right place at the right time. As you develop, you will also gain experience with short-term forecasting, demand signals, inventory management and relevant business developments.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting product allocation across different sales channels and areas of the business, helping to improve product availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
- Analysing inventory, sales and demand data to identify deviations, risks and opportunities and translate these into clear insights.
- Monitoring product availability and inventory developments and helping prepare practical planning actions.
- Contributing to short-term forecasting for the upcoming zero to three months by analysing demand signals and business developments.
- Creating and maintaining reports, overviews and analyses that help Category Planners and other stakeholders make informed decisions.
- Working with colleagues across Supply Chain and commercial teams to align priorities, assumptions and actions.
- Identifying bottlenecks and opportunities to make planning processes smarter and more effective.
- Exploring how AI tools and automation can simplify recurring tasks and support faster, data-driven decision-making.
- Contributing to projects that improve ways of working, data quality and decision-making within Category Planning.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience with allocation, forecasting and inventory management within an international omnichannel organisation.
You will also learn how to:
- Work with real business data and translate your analyses into recommendations and actions.
- Understand how Retail, E-commerce and other sales channels connect with Supply Chain planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from different disciplines and balance different priorities.
- Contribute ideas to a Category Planning function that is still evolving.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, data quality and ways of working.
- Apply analytical and AI-supported tools to practical supply chain challenges.
You will receive guidance from experienced colleagues within Category Planning and the wider S&OE team, while having room to learn, take responsibility and bring your own perspective.
Bring all of you
*Please note we can only accept applications from candidates who are actively enrolled in their study for the full duration of their internship.
You enjoy working with numbers and data and are curious about the story behind them. You are looking for a hands-on internship where analytics, business thinking and collaboration come together.
On top of that, you:
- Are currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at a university of applied sciences or research university, such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Econometrics, Operations Management, Logistics Management or a comparable field.
- Have a good working knowledge of Excel.
- Are comfortable communicating in English within an international working environment.
- Are proactive, curious and not afraid to ask questions or suggest new ways of working.
- Can maintain a clear overview, set priorities and adapt when circumstances change.
- Enjoy collaborating with different teams and stakeholders.
Experience with Power BI, other analytical tools or using AI to automate and improve processes is a plus. Dutch language skills are also an advantage, but your ability to collaborate clearly and confidently is most important.
