What we do

It’s our passion to create beautiful, innovative products to help people rediscover happiness in the smallest of things. At the same time, we keep environmental considerations in mind. For instance, we aim to reduce the intensity of our emissions with 50% by 2030, reaching Net Zero by 2050. Since 2022, Rituals is proud to be a Certified B Corp™ - meaning we are a company that uses business as a force for good.

Additionally, we aim to have impact by investing in both global programmes and local initiatives contributing to societal wellbeing. We're proud supporters of the Tiny Miracles Foundation, War Child, and the Super Chill Foundation. Furthermore, our Impact Days initiative involves a dedicated day each year where employees at our head-offices volunteer for charitable causes. After all, we all want to leave the world a brighter and happier place for the next generation.

Better the Balance

Since 2000, Rituals has been inspiring customers to find more balance in life by turning everyday routines into more meaningful moments. Unfortunately, the world today is off-balance and it's up to us all to improve this while we can. We want to take more responsibility and that's why we’re changing the way we do business with the 10% profit pledge.

From 2025 onwards, we commit to spend 10% of our net profit of the previous year (e.g. in 2025, we commit to spend 10% of our net profit of 2024).

Proud to be B Corp™

Rituals is a Certified B Corp™ - meaning we are a company that uses business as a force for good. B Corp is one of the most respected certifications when it comes to social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

To get certified, each company must undergo a thorough 360-degree evaluation, assessing not just their products but their entire business. While we take pride in this certification, we consider it a starting point, and we remain dedicated to furthering our sustainability efforts.

IMPACTSTORIES

Two people in front of food bags

Our brand, our collection and how we go about our day is based on the concept of ‘karma’ meaning that if you do good, good will come your way. Inspired by this concept, we offer our head office colleagues one workday per year to volunteer. You can spend these hours volunteering for a charity of your choice, or you can participate in  organised events.

Until now we have volunteered for organisations such as War Child, Ronald McDonald, Make a Wish, Single Super Mom, Einsatz für Tiere in Not, Amsterdam Clean Water and The Foodbank.

Our Race to
Net-Zero

In 2022, we began working on reducing our carbon emissions in line with the Paris Agreement's goals, and we have now made a Net-Zero commitment. What does that mean? To put it simply, Net-Zero means cutting greenhouse gas emissions to as close to zero as possible. This commitment follows the guidelines of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). As part of this commitment, we aim to reduce the intensity of our emissions with 50% by 2030, reaching Net Zero by 2050.
