IMPACT DAYS
A day to make a difference
"Do good, and good will come your way." This is not just a saying we like at Rituals; it's a core belief that we hold dear. That's why we introduced Impact Days, inspired by the warmth and positivity of The Ritual of Karma. This initiative allows all office colleagues to dedicate one day per year to focus on spreading kindness. Whether it's helping at a local food bank or planting trees, it's an 8-hour window during which work emails can wait. This is a day to remember that even the smallest acts of goodwill can make the world a better place.
We've had the honour of collaborating with a diverse group of organisations such as War Child, Ronald McDonald, Make a Wish, Single Super Mom, Einsatz für Tiere in Not, Amsterdam Clean Water and The Foodbank - just to name a few.

Driving for Ukraine: Nikki’s Impact Story
Nikki, a People & Organization Development Specialist, decided to dedicate her Impact Day to helping Ukrainian refugees when the war broke out. Alongside six colleagues, she decided to extend their commitment beyond the one-day Impact initiative to make a more significant impact. What transpired was a 14-hour journey to Poland, where they collaborated with a small foundation, called Fast Lane Ukraine. Besides delivering essential goods, they also provided transportation for Ukrainian refugees, including an elderly couple, and brought them safely to the Netherlands.
Helping out with 'Day of the Parents'
Eight team members spent their Impact Day at the Princess Máxima Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands, where they focused on parents with children battling cancer. Partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, we provided beauty treatments and hand massages, giving these parents a much-needed break.
Empowering job seekers
Our HR team dedicated their Karma Day to hosting an open session for community members struggling to find work, due to disabilities or other barriers. The aim was not to talk, but to listen and guide. Our HR team provided practical tips and advice to help these individuals showcase their talents and take their next steps in the job market.
